Giving Thanks - Day 9

9.) Snow! "Snow, snow, snow, snow. I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow..." (POP QUIZ: Anyone know what that song is from?) The first snow of the season here in Southeast Michigan fell this evening and I was drunk with excitement. Emmy and I stood on the porch, barefeet and all, watching our breath, and singing the aforementioned Snow song.

Even though we were in our pajamas, I dressed Emmy up in her winter coat and snow boots and we went out back to play in it.

The snow wasn't really sticking to the ground but enough had collected in the swingset for me to make my first snowball this season and for Emmy to get her hands in some too. It was so fun and exciting for us. I L-O-V-E this time of year. Nothing gives me the warm and fuzzies quite like the holiday season. I think I'll go make myself some hot cocoa now and watch "White Christmas."

Emmy loved the snow, or just the impromptu night time journey outside. Either way, she was tired enough to go to bed 30 minutes early (at her own request I should add). She cried when I brought her back in so I had to bring out her wooden rocking chair for her to play with to distract her. I've had it hidden away upstairs since she was just crawling so it was like new to her. She was really excited to climb in and out of it and put her "beebee" dolls in it.

Does my guess on the song count?

Jeremy has a guess, too.

They always count. Are your guesses the same?
