It's cold...really cold.

So we've been hibernating at home the last few days. I love days at home where there is no pressure to get out and run errands but feel bad for Emmy because I worry that she is going stir crazy. In an effort to break through the arctic blast ho-hums, I brought out her art easel (that she has never used before) for her to play with. JACKPOT! We got it out after nap time and she played with it the rest of the day. I literally had to wrestle the crayons away from her at bed time. At one point she had me and daddy sitting on the floor on either side of her coloring with her. Turns out we all enjoy the art easel.

Our family masterpiece. Do you know who this is?

Elmo! Where did you get that easel? I think I am going to get Elijah one, he LOVES to color! Looks so fun!

She got it as a gift for her first birthday so I'm not sure where it is from. It is Crayola brand though, if that helps. It is great and can be used as an easel or folded down like a desk. The top also has a magnetic dry erase board on it and it comes with alphabet magnets. I'm sure Elijah would love it!

Love the easel, what a great idea. George isn't ready for coloring/painting yet... he wants to draw on everything but the paper ;) I will cont to try. I'm going to stick with the aquadoodle for now... its just water with the same result. I know what you mean about fun for Mom & Dad... George & I were fighting over the water pen- it was hard to share ;) Love your blogging... keep on writing, your GREAT at it!!! I'm going to just stick with taking pics ;)

Thanks, Sarah. The aquadoodle thing looks cool. I saw it in some of your recent pics. I bet George loves that and how great that he can't damage any furniture or walls with it. Genius!
